Abstract


This study aims to determine the perceptions of students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), University of North Sumatra (USU) towards the BPJS Health program as an equitable social security. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires consisting of 11 statements focusing on ease of access, quality of service, and principles of social justice. The results showed that the majority of FISIP USU students have a positive perception of BPJS Kesehatan as an equitable social security, although there are some obstacles related to the administrative process and information provided by BPJS Kesehatan. This research provides important insights for BPJS Kesehatan in improving programs and services that are more efficient and accessible.
