Abstract
Language delay in early childhood is something that must be considered by every new parent or parent who has been a parent for a long time. Because, if the language skills of early childhood are not given attention, it will continue to be carried over when they are adults and become a challenge or difficulty for parents to improve the child's language skills. The problem of children's late language skills is not only a lack of parental interaction but there are several factors, namely 1. Genetic factors 2. Parental factors 3. Environmental factors 4. Factors of the child's own disorders. This study uses a qualitative method by collecting data and observing (Observation) the intended subjects, namely children aged 2-3 years. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the factors that can cause delays in language skills in children. The results of this study indicate that the role of parents in the development of children's language skills is very important, because education and attention from parents in children's language skills greatly influence the right and correct language stimulation. An environment that provides interaction using good language or words can make children's language skills not disturbed so that the child gets good and correct language. Heredity that can also make children slow in accepting language because of high testosterone hormones and disorders makes it difficult for children to interact with friends because of unclear speech and makes the child have little vocabulary in their language skills so that the role of parents returns to the child to create confidence and self-confidence in the child. This study emphasizes how important it is to create an environment that provides sufficient language stimulation and involves active support from parents to help children speak well at the age of 2-3 years.
