This paper aims to analyzeAt-Tamanniin surah Al-An'am verse 27 which tells about the condition of people who regret and wish they wanted to return to previous events. The method used in this writing is a qualitative method which is a literature review which uses secondary data in the form of journal papers, online articles, reliable Tafsir and other books. The results of this research analysis show 2 main points, namely first, in Surah al-An'am verse 27, at-tamanni is found, namely in the form of the words ???? /??? ?????????which have the meaning of hope (assumption) that is impossible to happen. Second, the word laita in surah al-An'am verse 27 states about a regret that cannot possibly happen. Tamanni in this verse describes the mental condition of unbelievers who reach the peak of deep regret when faced with the reality of going to hell.
