Analisis Al-Qashr Dalam Surah An-Nisa Ayat 171: Peringatan Terhadap Penyimpangan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of alqasar in Surah An-Nisa verse 171 as a form of warning against deviation in the aspect of divinity. This verse contains a warning addressed to the People of the Book, especially Christians, not to exceed the limit in their belief in the Prophet Isa. Alqasar, which means exceeding the limit, in the context of this verse refers to the act of associating partners with Allah through the worship of Prophet Isa, which is contrary to the teachings of Tawhid. This study uses classical and contemporary tafsir approaches, as well as linguistic analysis of key words in the verse to understand its historical context and meaning. The method used in this research is literature which involves collecting data by understanding and studying theories from literature relevant to the research. The results show that the concept of alqasar is a clear warning from the Quran against all forms of ghuluw or exaggeration in beliefs that can tarnish the principle of Tawheed. The commentaries of Ibn Kathir, Al-Qurtubi, and Quraish Shihab show that this verse strongly criticizes all forms of deviation that lead to the worship of Allah. In addition, historical analysis shows that this deviation arose due to the influence of Greco-Roman culture and pagan philosophy that developed into the dogma of the Trinity in the Council of Nicea. The implication of this verse is the importance of maintaining the purity of the creed of Muslims from all forms of deviation or external influences that can damage the principle of the oneness of God. Thus, this research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the importance of maintaining the purity of Tawheed in Islam.
