Abu Yasid (Al-Ittihad) dan Al-Hallaj (Hulul)

Abstract

Sufism as a scientific field has also experienced controversies and polemics in the struggle and struggle of a long history until it became established which gave birth to the institutes as they are today. In the long journey of Sufism, almost most Islamic scholars and intellectuals agree that the existence of Sufism has existed since the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) where most Muslims know it as a scientific field that soothes the spirit, or the glue of human relations with God. Tasawwuf has developed from time to time. From those limited to morals to penetrating into the realm of faith so that it gives rise to many pros and cons. Ittihad and Hulul are two of the tasawwuf concepts that have caused many pros and cons among Islamic scholars since their inception until today. What is meant by Ittihad is a level in Sufism in which a Sufi has felt that he is one with God; a level at which the loving and the beloved have become one, so that one of them can call the other with the words: O I. While hulul is a teaching that states that God has chosen a certain human body to reside in it with its divine attributes, after the human qualities in its body are eliminated first.
