Rekonstruksi Analisis Sosial dalam Dakwah Transformatif: Integrasi Diagnosis Sosial dan Transformasi Masyarakat

Abstract

The increasing complexity of social change requires da'wah to move beyond the paradigm of delivering normative religious messages toward a praxis capable of understanding and transforming social realities in a contextual manner. However, in both practice and academic scholarship, da'wah often remains focused on diagnosing visible social symptoms without sufficiently analyzing the root causes, social structures, power relations, and the capacity of communities to act as subjects of change. The research gap lies in the limited integration between social analysis methods and transformative da'wah frameworks that explain how social diagnoses can be translated into intervention strategies and community transformation. This article employs a transformative da'wah sociology perspective enriched by social change theory, structure-agency analysis, and participatory approaches to reconstruct the position of social analysis within da'wah methodology. The study adopts a critical conceptual literature review by analyzing and synthesizing literature on Islamic Studies, sociology, da'wah theory, and social transformation. The main argument of this article is that social analysis should not be positioned merely as a diagnostic instrument, but rather as an epistemological and methodological foundation of transformative da'wah. Based on this conceptual synthesis, the article proposes the Social Analysis Transformative Da'wah Framework (SATDF), which integrates social mapping, root-cause diagnosis, analysis of actors and power relations, participatory interpretation, da'wah intervention, and evaluation of social transformation.
